Reconciliation

Guilt and failure are part and parcel of our lives. Nobody is perfect. We know and feel that we can hurt other people with our thoughts and our actions, that we act unjustly and unkindly in small and big matters. What have these faults and failures got to do with God? Jesus says: "Whatsoever you did for one of the least of my brothers and sisters, you did it to me." (Matthew 25:40). Therefore, it also touches our relationship with God when we act  ruthlessly or inhumanely in the inner circle of family, work colleagues, friends, or in the wider economic and political arena.

The chance to make a fresh start

When we receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, we confess to a priest what weighs us down, and thereby experience that God gives us a chance for a new beginning. The priest assures us of God´s forgiveness and the power for a reconciled future through encouraging words and signs. If you feel the need for a liberating confession, make an appointment with your parish office.
